Rapid COVID Tests

Antibody Test

The rapid antibody test reveals if you have antibodies, i.e., the protective proteins produced by your immune system to fight off the coronavirus. When the immune system detects a microbe, the white blood cells produce antibodies to fight the infection. The human body produces two types of antibodies when exposed to COVID-19 — IgM and IgG.

The former (IgM) is evident 1 week after the infection, and the latter (IgG) is evident after 2 weeks. The presence of antibodies reveals if you have an active infection or had any exposure to the virus in the past, making it the gold-standard amongst COVID tests. The results are available within 15 minutes.

RT-PCR Test

The RT-PCR test reveals if you have an active infection, making it suitable for individuals currently exhibiting the signs or symptoms of COVID-19. The test results are usually available within 24 hours and emailed to the registered email address.

When to Get Tested

You should get COVID-19 testing if you suspect you may have the virus, even if you’re not yet displaying the symptoms. You should get tested if you’ve been in contact with someone infected, if you believe you’re currently infected, or have the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, such as a dry cough, sore throat, loss of smell and taste, etc. You can also get tested for simple peace of mind.

Post-Testing

Once you get the results, our staff will help you interpret the results and provide links for further information. We can also provide accurate information on your next steps based on the results. If you test positive but have mild symptoms, you can self-isolate at home and wear protective clothing while interacting with others. If you have severe symptoms, you may be admitted to a hospital for close monitoring and treatment.
