What Is ClearV?

ClearV is an advanced laser designed to address various vascular conditions, including spider veins, hemangiomas, and telangiectasias. Using precise wavelengths of light, ClearV targets the blood vessels beneath the skin’s surface, gently heating them and causing them to collapse and fade away. This non-invasive procedure offers an effective solution for those seeking to diminish the appearance of vascular imperfections, promoting smoother, clearer skin.

ClearV Treats…

  • Vascular conditions such as spider veins
  • Hemangiomas
  • Telangiectasias
  • Unsightly blood vessels beneath the skin’s surface
  • Various skin imperfections caused by vascular irregularities

How Does ClearV Work?

ClearV Laser works through a process called selective photothermolysis. It emits specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by hemoglobin, the pigment in red blood cells. When the light is absorbed, it converts into heat, which selectively damages the targeted blood vessels while sparing surrounding tissues.

This thermal damage causes the blood vessels to coagulate and collapse. Over time, the body’s natural healing processes clear away the treated vessels, resulting in a reduction in the appearance of vascular lesions.

Benefits:

  • Non-invasive procedure
  • Precision targeting of vascular lesions
  • Minimal discomfort during treatment
  • No downtime required post-treatment
  • Effective reduction of spider veins, hemangiomas, and telangiectasias
  • Safe for various skin types and colors

Preparation:

  • Cleanse the treatment area thoroughly before your ClearV session.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to treatment.
  • Discontinue the use of retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids one week before your appointment.
  • Inform your technician about any medications or supplements you’re currently taking.
  • Shave any hair in the treatment area the day before your session to ensure optimal results.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment to facilitate ease of treatment.

Procedure

During the ClearV treatment, you’ll first wear protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser light. The technician will then apply a cooling gel to the treatment area to enhance comfort and improve light penetration. Next, the ClearV laser device will be precisely directed over the targeted vascular lesions, emitting pulses of light. You may feel a slight warming sensation or mild tingling during the procedure, but discomfort is typically minimal. The session duration depends on the size and number of areas being treated.

Downtime

After a ClearV session, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or bruising in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few days. Some individuals may notice darkening or crusting of the skin, particularly with larger or deeper vascular lesions, but these effects resolve on their own. You can resume your normal activities immediately, as there’s typically no downtime required. However, it’s essential to follow post-care instructions provided by your technician, such as avoiding sun exposure and applying moisturizer as needed.

Recovery Guidelines

  • Apply cold compresses to reduce any swelling or discomfort in the treated area.
  • Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight for at least a week.
  • Keep the treated area clean and dry to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Use gentle skincare products and avoid harsh chemicals until the skin has fully healed.
  • Stay hydrated and follow a healthy diet to promote faster recovery.
  • Contact your technician if you experience any unexpected side effects or concerns.

Results

You can expect to see initial improvements in the appearance of vascular lesions within a few weeks after your ClearV treatment. However, multiple sessions may be needed to achieve optimal results, particularly for larger or more stubborn lesions. The longevity of results varies depending on factors such as the size and severity of the treated lesions, as well as your individual skin type and lifestyle factors. With proper care and maintenance, the results from ClearV treatments can last for several months to years.
