What Is BioTE®?

Hormones are necessary to ensure optimal functioning in the body. Men and women must maintain the optional distribution and proportion of hormones for complete physical, medical, and mental stability. However, as we grow older, various factors can lead to hormonal imbalances, leading to several unwanted symptoms. Low testosterone can lead to a low sex drive, loss of muscle mass, lower mental capacity, erectile dysfunction, and other problems. And hormonal imbalances in women can lead to hot flashes, insomnia, weight gains, anxiety, irritability, and other symptoms. Hormone imbalances keep you from living your life to the fullest. However, BioTE® provides subcutaneous pellets to restore your optimal hormone levels.

BioTE® Medical offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to reverse the signs and symptoms of hormone imbalances in men and women. It consists of tiny subcutaneous pellets that are individually curated to address the symptoms of hormonal imbalances, helping patients maintain hormonal consistency throughout the day. During the therapy, the chosen pellets are inserted subcutaneously into the body in a simple in-office procedure. As the pellets are absorbed, they disperse the necessary hormones throughout the body and ensure optimal levels are consistently maintained. Each patient is unique, and each BioTE® BHRT is also unique. Most BioTE patients report significant improvements in the hormone imbalance symptoms within four weeks, but it takes around six months to achieve complete optimization.

What are the signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance in women?

There are a variety of symptoms from hormone imbalance in women including:

  • Fatigue
  • Decreased sex drive
  • Irritability
  • Night Sweats
  • Weight gain
  • Anxiety
  • Cold hands and feet

  • Insomnia
  • Depression

If your menstrual cycle has stopped before menopause, or if you are experiencing this or any other symptom of menopause, you may have low estradiol. An increase in UTIs, depression or painful intercourse may also indicate low estradiol in women.

What are the signs and symptoms of low testosterone in men?

A low level of testosterone in a man means more than just a low sex drive or erectile dysfunction (ED). Symptoms consistent with low testosterone are:

  • Low sex drive
  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Mood changes
  • Irritability
  • Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
  • Increased body fat
    (especially in the waist area)
  • Lower mental capacity
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Decreased bone mass
  • Depression
  • Brain Fog

Additionally, studies have shown there are some conditions that are consistent with low levels of testosterone including:

  • Diabetes
  • Stress
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Anxiety
  • High Cholesterol
  • Depression
  • Alcohol use

What is BHRT?

BHRT is an acronym which stands for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. BHRT can help men and women who are sugaring from imbalanced hormones feel like themselves again–for the first time in decades! Bio-identical hormones are derived from plant sources rather than animal sources or synthetic sources, and are said to most closely replicate the molecular structure of human hormones.

What Are BHRT pellets?

BHRT pellets are comprised of custom compounded hormones. BioTE Medical only uses American FDA outsourcing compounded pharmacies to fulfill its pellet orders for patients. These pellets are inserted subcutaneously into the hip area during a quick in-office visit. Within seven to ten days after your pellet insertion, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) begins to take full effect, and BioTE Medical patients can truly experience the benefits of this revolutionary method of treatment.

When is Hormone Replacement Therapy Most Beneficial?

Hormone replacement therapy can help anyone whose hormones are out of balance. However, the most common time women seek out hormone replacement therapy is when they are experiencing menopause. There are three stages of menopause — perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause. There are also rare instances regarding women who have never had balanced hormones, as evidenced by excessively painful menstrual cycles and extreme mood swings.

Who is BioTE® Medical?

BioTE Medical only offers bio-identical hormone replacement therapy in the form of subcutaneous pellets, and with over 750,000 insertions performed in the company’s history, we have seen many lives changed through the introduction of optimized hormones into their bodies.
