Vampire Facial
Description
You have probably seen the pictures on Instagram: a Celebrity’s face, covered in what appears to be blood spatter. No, it’s not Halloween makeup, it is actually one of the latest treatment options in skin care, also called the “Vampire facial.” While this facial might look a little scary on the surface–it boasts BIG results!
What is it, and how does it work exactly? The treatment consists of a combination therapy of microneedling combined with the application of PRP (platelet-rich plasma), which is derived from the client. PRP is isolated from the serum portion of the blood, which contains platelets and high levels of growth factors–which, when applied and microneedled into the skin, will stimulate cell division, turnover, and collagen production. The multipoint stem cells found in the PRP promote the development of new blood vessels, fatty tissue, and collagen-producing fibroblasts, leading to the emergence of younger-appearing skin and “reverse aging” for a period of months!
Procedure
The procedure begins with a venipuncture (blood draw) to obtain the blood needed for PRP extraction. With RevIVe facials in Friendswood, we take the additional step of starting an IV for the infusion of B vitamins, biotin, vitamin C, and glutathione, all vitamins and nutrients that promote collagenesis and skin health. The blood is then placed into a special vial for PRP extraction via centrifugation. After isolation, the PRP extract is then applied to the face, and microneedling is performed to introduce the PRP and growth factors down into the dermis. Additional PRP is then injected in areas of the face that dermal fillers would be applied, providing a truly natural biofilling effect.
As for recovery, there is generally only one day of “downtime”. The appearance immediately following the procedure is a bit “rashy”, and clients are encouraged to apply moisturizer several times the day of the procedure. You are able to apply makeup and resume normal activities the following day!
Results
Our clients report significantly improved skin texture, plumpness, and tone following a single Vampire procedure! The skin tightening effects of the treatment continue to occur over a 3-month period following the facial and last up to a couple of years. At RevVive facials in Friendswood we use combinations of treatment with radiofrequency (Tripollar) or ultrasound (Ulthera) can lead to significantly amplified results as well.
Cost
Approximately $950/session.
Treatment Frequency
While the Vampire facial leads to significant rejuvenation in just a single treatment, some clients opt to undergo a series of three Vampire facials; when done in a series, we recommend spacing treatments every 4-6 weeks.

Dermaplaning
Description
Dermaplaning is a simple and painless skin rejuvenation technique. The procedure exfoliates the dead skin cells and debris from the face, brightening the complexion. It also reduces the visibility of wrinkles, acne scars, and dullness. Dermaplaning is suitable for patients with rough skin.
Procedure
Dermaplaning is a quick in-office treatment that concludes within 30 to 45 minutes. Steam is used to soften your skin and open up the pores. Once your pores are open, a small scalpel is used to scrape away the dead skin cells and surface hair from your face.
Results
With dermaplaning facials in Friendswood your skin will look brighter, smoother, and more evenly-textured.
Treatment Frequency
Dermaplaning should ideally be performed every 4 to 6 weeks because the skin regeneration cycle takes around 30 days.
Hydrafacial
The Hydrafacial takes the basic “facial” to a new level! It starts by deeply cleansing, exfoliating, and extracting impurities and dead skin cells utilizing a combination of microdermabrasion and suction; next, it layers antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acids to address concerns from uneven skin tone, to fine lines and wrinkles, to enlarged pores.
Procedure
This is not your typical relaxing spa facial–this is a medical-grade facial that provides lasting results! Lasting approximately one hour, the client can expect what feels like a fine sandpaper-like microdermabrasion performed with a wet suction tip. The procedure begins by cleansing with intense hydration to open pores and dissolve impurities. Next follows exfoliation with a mild glycolic and salicylic acid peel, improving skin texture and tone. A vacuum tool known as the vortex-extraction nozzle is then used to pull blackheads and other lingering impurities out of the pores, and the facial concludes with LED light therapy to kill bacteria that may lead to breakouts. Immediately following the procedure, clients see a fairly immediate improvement in skin tone and clarity; many say it looks like they were “buffed and polished!” The skin appears very mildly red in some cases, but makeup can be applied following the procedure. Hydrafacials and other RevIVe facials in Friendswood are an especially nice way to treat yourself and brighten your complexion ahead of an event or function!
Results
Hydrafacial boasts the ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve the skin’s elasticity and firmness, even skin tone and texture, unclog and reduce pore size–which can lead to decreased acne outbreaks, and obtaining an over-all skin “glow”, without downtime.
Treatment Frequency
While results are seen in a single session, some clients schedule a series of three facials 4-6 weeks apart for advanced rejuvenation!
Cost
$225/each or series of three for $550
Exosome Facials
Description
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles that ensure cell-to-cell communication, delivering regenerative medicines to different parts of the body. During exosome facials, these vesicles are concentrated on the face to activate the skin’s regenerative processes. As such, it activates skin cell regeneration to reverse the signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and textural irregularities.
Procedure
Exosome facials Friendswood are performed using an aesthetic applicator. The esthetician applies topical anesthesia to ensure optimal comfort, anesthetizing the targeted areas. The applicator gently abrades the skin’s surface to deliver the exosomes and growth factors into the dermis. The entire procedure concludes within 30 minutes.
Results
Exosome facials reverse the signs of aging, giving you smoother and more even-textured skin after multiple sessions. The treatment reduces pore size, minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, brightens your overall complexion.
Treatment Frequency
On average, patients need three sessions spaced one month apart for optimal results. The exosomes last in the body for 6 to 8 months after the final treatment, so you might need maintenance treatments once a year. However, the esthetician will recommend the ideal schedule for your specific needs.
OxyGeneO 3-in-1 Super Facial
The OxyFacial, like the Hydrafacial, takes the basic “facial” to a new level! As with our other facials in Friendswood, It starts by deeply cleansing, exfoliating, and extracting impurities and dead skin cells utilizing a combination of microdermabrasion and suction; next, it layers antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acids to address concerns from uneven skin tone, to fine lines and wrinkles, to enlarged pores, and finished with the delivery of CO2 bubbles to promote uptake of the facial’s active ingredients!
Procedure
This is not your typical relaxing spa facial–this is a medical-grade facial that provides lasting results! Lasting approximately one hour, the client can expect what feels like a fine sandpaper-like microdermabrasion performed with a wet suction tip. The procedure begins with the application of a “Capsugen tablet” to exfoliate the upper skin layer, remove dead cells, smooth and renew the skin, and prepare it to receive active nutrients. Next, the facials Friendswood provider selects to apply and infuse either NeoRevive (for rejuvenation of aging skin) or NeoBright (for skin brightening, texture improvement, or acne reduction). Lastly, the OxyGeneO handpiece produces CO2 bubbles which gently burst on the skin’s surface, creating a physiological response that enriches the skin with oxygen; this effect promotes increased capillary flow and skin metabolism and cellular turnover. Oxygenation results in optimal absorption of this facial’s active ingredients! Immediately following the procedure, clients see a fairly immediate improvement in skin tone and clarity; many say it looks like they were “buffed and polished!” The skin appears very mildly red in some cases, but makeup can be applied following the procedure. OxyFacials are an especially nice way to treat yourself and brighten your complexion ahead of an event or function!
Results
OxyFacial boasts the ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve the skin’s elasticity and firmness, even skin tone and texture, reduce the appearance of superficial skin pigmentation, unclog and reduce pore size–which can lead to decreased acne outbreaks, and obtaining a youthful over-all skin “glow”, without any downtime.
Treatment Frequency
While results are seen in a single session, some clients schedule a series of three facials in Friendswood, 4-6 weeks apart for advanced rejuvenation!
*You might be wondering*: How do I select between the Hydrafacial and the OxyFacial? We suggest choosing/booking either one with your provider–and then allowing your provider to make the recommendation on which is superior for your skin type! Both facials are the same cost, the same treatment length, and are performed by the same providers.
Cost
$200/each or series of three for $500
Microneedling
Description
Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation procedure in which tiny needles create tiny punctures in the top layer of skin, with the goal of improving overall skin texture, tone, and appearance. We know what you are probably thinking: needles sound painful! But ask our facials in Friendswood clients, and they will tell you–with our strongest-available topical triple skin numbing lotion, the procedure is not nearly as uncomfortable as it sounds! Experts and clients agree: when done properly at a facility like RevIVe Med Spa, the procedure is only mildly uncomfortable, virtually risk-free, and offers profound benefits to your skin!
Procedure
Upon arrival, we will apply a topical BLT (benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine) cream to numb the skin. After a minimum of 10 minutes’ “numb-time”, the skin is cleaned, and the procedure begins. A small handheld device is moved seamlessly across the skin, rolling needles into the skin at a preset depth. At RevIVe, we offer a number of different “boosters” to the microneedling treatment–including the skin-plumping hyaluronic acid (HA), the skin-tightening Sculptra (Galderma), SkinPen’s brand boosters targeting your specific concerns, or of course, the “Cadillac” of microneedling serums: client-derived platelet-rich plasma (PRP), also known as the Vampire facial.
Treatment Frequency
While results from facials in Friendswood are seen in a single session, some clients schedule a series of three microneedling sessions 4-6 weeks apart for advanced rejuvenation!
Results
Microneedling, regardless of “booster” chosen, results in smoother, firmer, and more even skin tone. By promoting collagen production, microneedling can even help reverse signs of aging (fine lines and wrinkles), help fade acne or other scars (stretch marks), and leave the skin looking refreshed and more youthful. Microdermabrasion
Description
Microdermabrasion is another one of our commonly employed facials in Friendswood. This is, in essence, similar to finely “sanding” the skin’s surface with a special instrument–making way for the emergence of a new, smoother layer of skin. Microdermabrasion uses tiny exfoliating crystals which are applied to the skin’s surface; it is most commonly used to address common signs of aging such as dull skin, age spots, and skin texture issues. It is essentially a “buff and polish” of the skin–like taking your car to get detailed!
Procedure
The procedure itself is only very mildly “irritating,” and certainly not painful. Tingling sensations might be felt as product is applied to the skin; treatment time is around 20-30 minutes. After the procedure is complete, we apply Neocutis’s hyaluronic acid (Hyalis) for a plumping and finishing effect. The treated area may feel mildly irritated, like a “wind burn”, for several hours after treatment, but this sensation quickly passes, and makeup can be applied immediately.
Results
When considering facial in Friendswood services, the most common indication for microdermabrasion is seeking a polished skin appearance. Especially when it is performed in a series, microdermabrasion can be utilized to treat fine lines, skin texture irregularities, superficial scars such as acne scars, and sun damage. It is a treatment often sought several days ahead of an event (wedding, party, reunion, etc.); especially when combined with a superficial enzyme peel and dermaplaning, the face looks glowing and smooth!
Treatment Frequency
Can be performed as a single service for immediate improvement ahead of an event; to address specific issues, such as scarring and acne, a series of 3-6 treatments is generally recommended, scheduled 3-4 weeks apart.
Chemical Peels
Over time, and with exposure to gravity and UV light, our faces and necks accumulate damage in the form of “photoaging” and aging in general. Skin is composed of three layers: the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue. The dermis contains proteins, including collagen, elastin, and other important fibers, which affect skin’s strength and elasticity. UV radiation and oxidative stress injure these important proteins, leading to the accumulation of damage in the form of wrinkles, drooping skin, broken blood vessels, mottled pigment, and sun spots, while gravity leads to the breakdown of collagen and elastin, allowing skin to droop and sag. Of our many facials in Friendswood, chemical peels can help to rejuvenate this damage.
There are a number of acids employed in chemical peels, including various percentage strengths of glycolic acid (Neocutis peels), trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or carbolic acid, which will cause shedding of the superficial layers of skin with the emergence of fresh, new skin. The stronger the peel, the more the peeling, and the better the effect! Chemical peels soften fine lines and wrinkles, restore more even skin tone, and smooth away rough skin textures. Some peels are also formulated to prevent acne breakouts.
Description
Of the Vi Peel line, different peels target different areas of concern:
- Vi Peel: great for fine lines and wrinkles and irregularity of skin tone/texture.
- Vi Peel Purify: for acne-prone skin, fine lines, and skin tone irregularity.
- Vi Peel Purify Precision Plus: a more intense treatment targeting acne, fine lines and wrinkles, and skin tone irregularity.
- Vi Peel Precision Plus: most intense “brightener and tightener” of the Vi Peel line.
Procedure
As with our other facials in Friendswood, the client’s face and/or neck is first cleaned thoroughly. Next the chemical peel solution of choice is applied to the skin. For Neocutis peels, solution is applied for approximately 3-5 minutes; while the solution sits in place, clients report a slight burning, prickling, or stinging sensation. After an allotted time, a buffer solution is then applied, and the face is then washed clean. For Vi Peel, the peel solution is applied, and the patient is dismissed home after watching for approximately 5 minutes with a home care kit. The client will leave with instructions on removing the peel at home later that day. A post-Vi peel instruction guide will allow the client to determine if they want a more profound peeling effect by using “peel toilette” boosters at home, if desired. The entire visit will likely take less than 15 minutes.
Post-Procedure/ Downtime
A mild sunburn-like effect may be noticed following a Neocutis peel; it is safe to apply makeup following the procedure. Clients must avoid sun exposure for several days following the peel, and must be careful to apply sunblock in the weeks to follow to avoid sunburn. Following ViPeel facials in Friendswood, the treated skin will become very dry for approximately 1 week, with a sunburn-like appearance. Skin peels gradually and in small flakes over the 1-week period. Skin should be moisturized according to the take-home care kit. Maximum results are seen by week 4!
